Still here, *waves to Russian overlords*

I appear to be one of a handful of people not running screaming for the hills.

Looks like LJ is going to be a bit quieter than even before, from the number of people suddenly posting their goodbyes.

As it stands, I'm not going anywhere. I had a dreamwidth account many years back and I'll be damned if i can remember my password or anything so I shall stay here, where I have the longest roots. Possibly also because we've gone through this all before, every couple of years there's a mass exodus because of "the Russians" and tbh I don't care enough.

In other exciting news, I am still plugging away at The Novel. Today I was slightly depressed because in the years since I've sold nothing and barely finished a novel, several people I know are releasing new books left right and centre and yeah, it makes me feel like a failure. But I have to remind myself that this is not some kind of demented egg and spoon race where the first person to reach the distant tor with an unblemished cockatrice egg gets the contract, yanno.

just, chill, Cat.

Make gud werds. Be happy.

So, plans to finish the Three (and title it better) are on track, and after that I think i need to get one of my more commercial works a kickstart - so I'll revise Hollow Dark as two novels and chat to Ze Agent about subbing them. And when that is done I'll rework Paper Teeth because I'll need a little freeform insanity in my life after that.
