Cameron’s 13th Birthday
Well, I hate to admit it, but after saying that we were going to see Cam on his birthday yesterday, we had to cancel! It nearly killed me, but neither Bob nor I were feeling well enough to go to their place to “social distance“ in their car port or on their large covered deck...and we know it would’ve have been fair to any of them to do so!
I had a gastrointestinal things going on and Bob has had what appears to be a “huge allergy attack thing” going on...I awoke feeling terrible but forced myself to make cupcakes, Cam’s request for his bday...the first batch of cupcakes didnt’ turn out to my satisfaction so, being a bear for punishment, I actually made another batch! Lay down mid-afternoon and just knew I wasn’t up for going to their place at supper time. Bob wasn’t either so sadly,we had to cancel. Our daughter picked up the cupcakes and Cam’s birthday gift and card. Bob made Cam the cutest card with the sweetest words with a “basketball” theme...he LOVES basketball and is good at it...even though his sports have always been biking and snowboarding! When he and his Mother come to Palm Desert to visit us, he always brings his basketball and practices on the outdoor courts in Palm Desert Park...sometimes with Bob...one of our fondest memories!
