OOohh I'm going to try again and see if it helps.

People sign up to participate in the season. Deadline to sign up for this season is tomorrow noon eastern. This season should last approx six months.

Then think of a game like Survivor or Big Brother. Once you're in, you're in. You can drop out of course, but the goal is to be the last one in.

The moderator posts a topic, like "These Walls."

Everyone writes a post in their own LJs about the topic. One person writes about feeling blocked off from a loved one. One person literally posts photos and explanations of the things she has hanging on the walls of her home. One person writes about tearing down a wall and putting up another wall during a renovation. Someone else starts with lyrics to a Pink Floyd song and goes from there.

Each person links their post back to the community Topic post. All the participants (and friends and observers) read the posts. There is a poll. Everyone votes. The person or people (it varies) with the fewest votes are eliminated. They are no longer competing.

Then a new topic is posted, and it all starts again.

It's mainly for practicing writing. Also for meeting people who want to write. There is also a daily(ish) "Green Room" (think of the waiting room where guests wait to be interviewed by Letterman or Carson or whoever). The Green Room is the place where people socialize and hang out. Green Room participation is optional. Posting on the topics by the deadline is required.

Ultimately the winner gets bragging rights and a shiny new icon proclaiming her the winner. Last season's winner was chite.

I hope this helps. Let me know. I'm not tired of talking about it. :)

HAH! I left that part out, huh?

Yes. It's a writing competition. :)

Sorry. I'm a doof.

LOL, not a doof...it was so obvious to those of you who've been doing it that it never got mentioned. And it was the missing piece for many of us!

:)

I keep forgetting people cannot read my mind.

It's a good thing, though. :)
