oh hey. In the cab this morning, I had a really good driver, or at least interesting to talk with. This company employs a lot of vets - he was in the Marines in Vietnam. Right now, his son is in the Marines, at Camp Pendleton down south, and his wife just gave birth to their first child. He's going to ship out to Iraq or similar in January, so he wanted to come home for the Thanksgiving holiday but couldn't afford it. His dad, the taxi driver, decided to work extra weekends and pay for them to come north for the holiday... but he's asked his son to not tell anyone so that it'll be a surprise. Now that will be a good Thanksgiving.
