I've noticed something recently that makes me go squee!
One of my favorite columnists for the Oregonian, Steve Duin, is a comic book geek... er, afficianado. http://blog.oregonlive.com/steveduin/
It's just rather cool.
Apparnetly he's looking for good fantasy books for his 17 year old daughter (who's looking for something good after the Potteramerdung) that doesn't involve lots of R-rated stuff. Um... I know I was reading that kind of stuff by that age, but let's pretend 17-year old girls don't. I'm trying to think of good recommendations.
What pops into my head are the Regency fantasies co-written by Patricia C. Wrede and Caroline Stevermer. I'm sure there are more good ones.
