I remember the reason why girls like assholes so much.

It's an evolutonary thing.
Reproduction is a BIG energy expense for a girl, but not at all for a guy. They have to be a lot pickier about who's genes they mix with, while we can just scatter our genes everywhere and hope for the best. In fact, that's exactly what we're supposed to be doing, in the best interestes of passing on our lineage.
Now....we do look for certain markers that hint towards superior breeding stock. Girls have to do this even more than guys do, and there are a lot of different things they look at.
Think of a peacock's tail, it's a big expense to grow it, and it also makes you visible to predators. It's expensive and risky, but still they grow it. It's rather like how we like expensive sports cars.....similar idea. The only difference is that ours is a psychological programming, rather than a physical attribute.
That also explains why girls like guys with sports cars.
Now....girls look at all kinds of markers, including things like intelligence, balls, and other things, to decide who is and who isn't good enough for breeding. Keep in mind this is ALL subconcious.
But they can never be certain of those markers. So what they've adapted to do is look at MEN's behaviour towards them. Their brain has evolved for one purpose - to understand OUR brain.
Now.....if you treat a girl like gold, it must be because you hold her in high regard. If you hold her in high regard, that means she must be of better breeding stock than you. (think of a league system). If she's of better breeding stock than you...then mixing her genes with you will produce less-capable children.
Now, if you're an asshole to her, she interprets it as thinking she's of lesser breeding stock than you. Her thinking is then that mixing her genes with yours will produce children with BETTER traits than hers.
What they're doing is interpreting your behaviour towards them as a measure of whether we're higher or lower quality than they are. If we're of higher quality, they're interested, if lower, forget it. Pretending to be an asshole makes them think you're in a higher league than they are.
That's all it is....they're using OUR opinion of them to judge OUR worthiness, and not without reason. It's also why they pursue drama so much...what they're really after is the better genes.
The idea is to be enough of an asshole that she thinks you're superior, and therefore desirable. You can't be so much of an asshole that she decides you're impossibly superior, and not worth the energy expense trying to get.
