recent events
in the last week i've shared one of my favorite books with someone, finished a book, felt my heart flip more times than i can count, wished a certain someone would email me in the next few weeks, started drinking coffee again, made several long distance phone calls, said more good-byes than i can handle, read a story about new beginnings, watched the rain that looked like snow, felt very alone yet hopeful, sad, happy, and anxious all at once, had shivers down my spine, reconnected with someone i've missed, been reminded of what summer romance is, listened to the same song on repeat for hours on end, cut my hair, taken up a second job till the end of the summer, given more hugs than i have in an entire year, been on the verge of tears for no reason, taken more pictures than during three years of photo, let a complete stranger make me smile and then hug me, thought about how many words are in the books that made a bookshop, read a children's book i haven't read in years, said 'happy birthday' twice, made a vow to myself, made promises i'm not sure i can keep, watched 18 episodes of sex and the city.
god, i'm exhausted.
