Ooooooook so life is good. I've had without a doubt the best summer of my life, and for one simple reason, Gary Williams.
I'm living in Halifax now, got 2 cool roomies, Alicia Mansfield and Adrianne Rex, 2 kick ass kitties, Leno & Conan, and Gary's movin in! Can you say zoo? haha.
So I guess I'll explain how Gary moving in came about, it was quite a whirlwind of events let me tell ya.
Ok so I guess I'll start with his trip home in June. We were both a little bummed and stressed out about it, because after his three weeks here, we weren't sure when we'd get to see eachother again. With no wrestling going on in the Maritimes, the best case scenario was next May, and thats a whole 10 months without seeing eachother. Not cool at all. So he came home and things were great as always, we just got more disgustingly cute if anything lol.
Speaking of cute, I have to include this story cause it's the sweetest thing I've ever heard lol. So after Gary was here for about a week & a half I was starting work at a new job. So Gary decided that if I was going to be working all day anyway, he might as well go to New Brunswick for a few days to see his family and friends there. So on Tuesday morning he drops me off at work, and heads to Moncton. Tuesday NIGHT I get a call at about 11:30 waking me up...it's Gary declaring that he's on his way back to Halifax, because he can't sleep without me next to him...how fuckin cute is that?
Ok, anyway back to the story at hand. So Gary and I went to New Brunswick at the end of July for his cousin Nicole's wedding. It was really nice because I got to meet a lot of his family that I hadn't met yet, including his Mom who is awesome, and his cousin Cathy who's totally great. So we get back from New Brunswick and Gary starts talking about moving from Calgary to Halifax. Now this isn't really anything too new, we've talked about it a lot, but it's always been more of a "one of these days" thing. Gary started talking about it as a "Nnnnnow" thing. Needless to say I was totally floored. I knew that for Gary to do that he'd be giving up a SHITLOAD of stuff from his life in Calgary, and for me? Wow. It was one of those things that I always hoped would happen, but after three years, really didn't think it was going to happen lol.
So just like that the decision was made, Gary flew back to Calgary on August 10th, moved out of his apartment, gave his 2 week notice at work, dropped the Monster Pro Wrestling title, said goodbye to his friends and hit the road to drive back to the Maritimes after moving away nearly 7 years ago.
So now here we are, he's going to be here tomorrow if all goes well, and we're going to be together for good....crazy I tell ya. To everyone that said it would never happen and I was wasting my time, SO THERE lol, and to everyone that said we were meant for eachother, thanks for supporting us all this time. Now if Gary can only get here. Let me tell you the story of his drive home thus far.
So he left Calgary 7:00am MST on Saturday morning. The first part of the trip went pretty well, Saturday night at about 12:00am CST, he gets into Ontario.
So as soon as he gets into Ontario, the cops have the highway blocked off, so he goes to see what's going on. Turns out there's been a big accident, 2 transport trucks, dead people, all that fun stuff. So the cop informs him that unless he wants to take the route that goes through the states, he's going to have to wait until around 7am to get through.
He decides to wait since he cant go through the states because the border people will give him trouble with all of his stuff, so he waits there, and loses nearly 7 hours off his time. He gets maybe an hours sleep while he's waiting.
So he finally gets past that, drives about an hour, another detour. the cop sends him on this alternate route that nearly gets him lost, and again takes a few hours off of his time. He gets past that, drives about an hour, stuck in construction for an hour.
So last night at about 12am EST, he leaves Sault Ste. Marie and he notices that there's a weird rattling noise coming from under his hood. He isnt sure what it is, but theres not much he can do at 12am, so he keeps driving. Eventually, his engine light comes on, temp gage goes sky high, smoke is coming out of the hood, and antifreeze is leaking out the side.
He pulls over, and thankfully he's a member of CAA, so he calls them and gets a free tow. Then he has to wait a few hours until 9am for the garage to open and fix his car. It ended up being the water pump and not the radiator thank god, so he shells out the $200 to get that fixed.
THEN while he's waiting for the car to get fixed, he goes into the bathroom at the garage...and ends up dropping his new $600 cell phone in the TOILET. It stops working, it's totally fucked. Luckily after letting it dry for about 4 hours it started working again.
So now he's driving again, swearing up and down that he will never step foot in Ontario again as long as he lives, and he's refusing to stop until he gets to Moncton which is about a 16 hour drive from North Bay, Ontario where he got the car fixed. As of now (8pm AST) he just got into Quebec about an hour ago, TABERNAC!
Hopefully the rest of his trip will be uneventful...I can't wait to see him!
