well.. i won't babble too much about miami. i must say that we did go snorkeling on friday in key largo, and the weather was perfect, and the waves were calm. visability was around 100 ft. amazing day to go. we saw two sharks which was incredible, i spotted them both! :) andy and ashley saw baracudas dart in front of them, we all saw a sting ray that was probably 5.5 ft. across, the sharks about the same. there was some kind of eel, zebra fish, parrot fish, snapper, and some other beautiful fish which i have no idea their names. it was one of the best things i've ever done i must say, and it was much cooler than i thought it would be. if you haven't tried snorkeling, do it!
we also went to sea world on our way down, and shamu drenched us.
we also saw the oldest buliding in our hemisphere, a spanish monastery built in 1141 in spain that was transported by william randolph hearst.
and we saw the venetian pool, which is also a historic site dating back to i believe 1926. it had waterfalls and small caves (all manmade into the pool) that we could swim in. that was also beautiful, and they supposedly drain the 800,000 gallons of water nightly and refill it to ensure a clean, fresh swim.
it was cloudy much of the time, and it rained more than we would have liked, but regardless i was the first to get burnt to a crisp on an overcast day.
the last two days were gorgeous so we were fine at the end with the weather...
there was a bar next to the pool, and our resort was oceanfront in north beach miami... the bar served me! :) monday we got super shitty, and i heard stories the next day of me chasing after a hotdog rolling down the road - catching it - dropping it again and chasing it some more - and then eating it... ewww...
so anyways it was a good trip and none of us tried to kill eachother by the end..
and now i am trying to get excited about the rainbow in west virginia. it's hard to get excited when you are the only one.. but i'm trying anyways, and we'll probably just go for one night. but i hope we do go (sean and i)
hope to see someone i know there!!!
