I've lived long enough that I know that polls aren't always right, that the economy trumps almost everything, and that when in the privacy of the election booth (or envelope) people don't always vote the way they say they're going to. I was so stressed out about things and am now so relieved, I kept picturing the worse scenario.

Yeah, I was worried people wouldn't actually turn out, or wouldn't vote as they said they would, and/or would have voting booth changes of heart when the chips were down.

It's really amazing that he got re elected, given the economy, and how he's been up front on at least some liberal positions. Not to mention his race. It's is amazing and great really omg... it's sinking in \o/

I was confident he would win the day before but today I've been stressing so much about it, because everyone was making it look like Romney had a chance.

I honestly don't believe the economy can be fixed in the next 4 years, by anyone. So the social issues were closest to me and Romney was directly opposed to so many things that are so important and dear to me.

Marriage equality also won in 3 states tonight and its just such a great victory all around tonight.
