Going to see Hunger Games tonight. I haven't read the books (heresy, I know... I just never got to them!). It'll be awesome though to go in relatively ~unspoiled and ready for just about anything. We'll see how I feel!
Due to family rl stuff, we're watching a lot of things on Netflix (yay netflix!) etc. I think I mentioned that I finally watched all of Firefly and OMG THE LOVE I LOVE IT SO MUUUUCH. I had seen the movie Serenity years ago and loved it, so WHY DIDN'T I EVER WATCH SERENITY?!?! LOVE. Have gobbled up all mal/simon fic i have found so far...
We're also watching Dr. Who. Back in the Dark Ages I remember watching the older one and not taking it very seriously. But the newer Who is AMAZEBALLS. We're somewhere in Season 3 now and every single episode is honestly great in one way or another. I probably have some meta about various problematic things, but mainly I'm just along for the ride. Captain Jack's brief appearances earlier on just lit up the screen, so I'm interested to follow that on through to Torchwood etc. Haha of course I've already watched a few relevant youtube clips.
Um, can't remember if I'm watching anything else... oh! I finally watched Iron Man 2! Horrible movie. Horrible,lol, but as usual RDJ makes anything interesting to watch. I want to watch Thor for completeness, and in preparation for Avengers (omgggg), but netflix never had it, and amazon is saying it's not available now due to their licensing agreement. :(
I continue to reblog all of these fandoms on my tumblr (still don't completely understand tumblr but it's great for my short attention span right now) plus some Sherlock -- oh! That's up in our netflix cue also and just haven't gotten to it because it's too dark for family purposes rn. I need to watch it myself if necessary -- though part of me sort of weirdly rebels because it's soooo popular in fandom rn, most of me thinks I'll adore it. I've loved Sherlock in the past why not now?
also I'm excited they're filming the next Star Trek, but it'll be literally over a year until that's out, so.
