Not sure what to post about really
So you get random rambling thoughts.
Gonna go to Akon and DragonCon next year. I'm pretty sure I can afford it no problem. I do need to start saving up here pretty soon though. I'm thinking like $30 out of each paycheck will work.....maybe $40 or $50 if I can deal with not spending it. That should leave me a nice sum to buy food and goodies to bring back.
Also gonna start saving for my Jessica Rabbit costume for Halloween. I'm talking to a chick on Etsy that makes some really great looking corset outfits. She said she could make if for me on the cheap. I haven't heard anything back from her since the last time I converstationed her, but she did say she was busy 'til the end of August. I'm not in that big of a hurry anyway.
Thinking about getting mom some Blu-ray movies for Christmas since she now has a spiffy Blu-ray player. I told her to start thinking them up now so I can buy them early. We'll see how well that works here soon. As far as other Christmas stuff goes, I haven't really thought much about it. I know that I want to get my friends presents this year since I haven't been able to for a while. Not sure what to get any of them though.
I still have yet to get my tires checked and my alignment fixed. I did get my oil changed though.....cost me $40 which was like $10 more than I thought it would be. Oh well.....car's running a little better anyway. Still not travel worthy though :(
I have three movies that I bought on Amazon.com that should be getting here pretty soon. I got Heathers, Little Shop of Horrors, and Zombie Strippers on DVD. I have to make Donald watch Zombie Strippers.....it's very amusing. Next will be to get Watchmen on Blu-ray. Oh yeah! Wanna get some HDMI cables for my PS3 also......can't forget to do that with this next paycheck.
For my birthday I want to get computer parts to build a new computer. I want it to be able to play games should I decide I want to do so. Not to mention I'm gonna be giving this one to mom once I have a new improved one. So I'll be asking for donations toward that or if you have computer parts you can give me that's good too. I'll post more about that when the time comes.
Work's going well. Well, except for the whole not getting a lunch break lately thing. Seems that when the census is down they don't let us have our third tech on the child unit. Which means no breaks for us. I still eat though....I've decided that even if I don't get a break I'm eating my damn food. If they say something to me about it, I'll just tell them I haven't been getting a break for the past few weeks. Anyway, other than that, I like it alot. Nothing traumatic has happened yet.....just a few hissy fits and such.
Ren. Faire is in November. Kristin said she'd go, but she's not camping. I'm ok with that. I'm not going with Beth and them so camping will not be happening this time. If anyone else is interested, let me know. Last year they had like a 30% off sale on their tickets. I'm not sure if they'll do that this year though. If we can get a group of at least ten, there is a group rate.
