So I haven't really posted in a while....
And I don't really have a good reason for that. I've mainly been posting as I go through my days on Twitter. I'm sure y'all see all the wonderful twitter posts on here. I know I should update with more content more often, but I look at LJ and think I'll do it later. Procrastination at it's best, ladies and gentlemen! So......for your reading pleasure I will go back a few weekends and tell you about random things that I haven't gotten a chance to post about on here.
Two weekends ago I won some tickets from Jack FM to see Hoobastank. I was sooooooooooo thrilled. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone to go with me 'cause everyone had already made plans to do other things. However, I went anyway and had alot of fun. I got some really good pictures of Hoobastank since I was right in front of the stage. They're on my Flickr page if you're interested in seeing them.
Last weekend I hung out with Kristin & crew both Friday and Saturday. I even went over to Preston and Erin's on Friday night after hanging out with Kristin, Jack, and Billy for a while. It was good to see them. I hadn't really been over there in a while. I'm a neglectful friend, I know. I wasn't there for long 'cause Erin and Kat were gonna go to Jack and Jill's. Kat gave me some nifty bone kitty earrings she made. I can't wear them just yet, but eventually when I get money, I'm gonna get some of these so I can wear actual earrings. I had no idea they made them in 8g or I would have gotten them earlier.
Last week I finally got a bite from a job I applied for. Brentwood no less. Unfortunately, I didn't know they called 'til it was too late. So I ended up playing phone tag with the lady 'til this past Thursday. It seems her husband had a heart attack and she was out for that. He's ok which is good.....I don't think she would have been back at work if he wasn't. Anyway, I have an interview there on Monday at 2:00. I'm soooooooo excited! I really hope I get this job. Mom, Aunt Sandra, and I went to Belk and Lane Bryant to see about getting some shoes and an interview outfit for me. I don't really have anything nice to wear that fits me anymore.....so I kinda needed something nice to wear. I ended up getting some really nice dressy Mary Jane type shoes which are really comfy too, a shirt/vest combo, a nice pair of black pants, some New Balance slip ons, and a skirt/dress thing. I want to thank my grandmother, aunt, and mom for buying me these nice things. I wouldn't know what to do if it wasn't for them.
Last night there was a burlesque show called Pretty Things Peepshow at Hal & Mal's. I really wanted to go so Donald went with me and paid my way in. I want to thank him profusely for that by the way. There was some hillbilly type band there at first that consisted of a couple of guys singing O Brother Where Art Thou type music. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't something I'd want to listen to constantly. The HotRods came on second. I thought they were gonna be rockabilly, but was told later they were just rock. They sounded alot like punk to me, but what do I know. I do know they screamed alot and were very loud. Then Pretty Things did they're thing. I really enjoyed the show. I wish we had something like that here on a regular basis. I've got pictures up again on my Flickr page....link is above somewhere.
Anyway, that's about it for now. Got girl's night at Kristin's tomorrow night......looking forward to that. Interview is Monday. I'm excited about that, but will probably be incredibly nervous when I get up there. Yey!!!!
