Hurricane Gustav, football, and music

Two weeks ago, I went to see Splendid Chaos at Rick's. It was my first time seeing them since they got a new drummer. It was a great show, and they did some new songs that I hadn't heard them play before. They added Radiohead "Creep," Sixx:A.M. "Life is Beautiful," and Weezer "Say It Ain't So" to their set list. Totally cool!

Saturday, I drove the golf cart for my dad while he played golf, and then we wanted MSU at Louisiana Tech on tv that night in the season opener. Unfortunately, MSU lost the game. My aunt drove up from Gulfport that night to evacuate for Gustav. She lives in my grandparents old house in Gulfport now and also had a house built around the corner from my dad so she stays there when she comes up here.

Tonight, I'm going to see U.S at Rick's. Tomorrow is MSU's first home football game (Southeastern Louisiana). My dad is going to the game with me tomorrow. D is coming here for a couple of games later in the season, and we have tickets to see MSU at Georgia Tech in Atlanta on September 20.

My birthday is two months from tomorrow. Scary!
