Camping Cont.

We get to Canada and customs take forever. It was very too. We get in with just our IDs and they have a looky-loo in the car. To our luck they let us keep our fire wood in the back of the truck. We had clams waiting to be cooked when we got back. We drive for 5 minutes and stop at the first convenience station we see as previously planned on the boat. Tony wanted some chicken chips real bad. We stopped and Tony got his ships and I grabbed a guava flavored soda thing but our card didn't work . wompwahhh we then realized we were foreigners. Immediately we were asked by tourists if we knew where a head shop was. Then we drove around for probably 45 minutes then parked in a parking garage. We walked aroud and ate some tasty organic pizza at a place called The Joint. We walked around town and tried to find a money exchange place and a bathroom and the number to the ferry to make reservations for our ride back and to see what time it left and a payphone. We got to the visitors center and got the Coho's (name of ferry) pamphlet and found out the next boat would be at 7pm. So we called around 5:30 and the person told us that it was all reserved up and that we should get down there to make sure we get a spot back to the states. So we head to the dock and buy a ticket, which are pretty expensive, and park our car. We are number 3 in line to get on after the reserved people. We walk to some shade in some grass right by the dock and let the dogs do thier biz and Tony generously picks it up and discards. And of course people flock to us when we have our dogs. So people getting on other boats had to come and say "what kind of dog is that?" We go back to the car at 6:15 and listen the the Sirius and Ipod for a while but batteries and signals faded the last grueling minuted before we loaded. Some guy from Isreal came over with his some and played with Steve out my window. It was the cutest little boy I've ever seen with big ole eyes and ears and he giggles when Steve licks his fingers. His dad kept saying something like "___ eats a lot of honey" as to why the dog found the baby so tasty. The guy was obviously trying to keep the baby from getting restless. Finally we got on and went up to the Cafe and got some clam chowder and crackers. The boat was very cold outside so we stayed in mostly. We get back to Port Angeles and stop and get gas and drive back to the camp site. We build a fire whilst it's only 10:45pm and everyone in the campsite is asleep. We make alot of noise and cook clams and garlic and afterwards the most delicious smores ever. We go to bed happy and full of clams.

The next morning we pack up in 20 minutes and head to Pt. Whitney and get clams in 10 minutes. We see my friends again and they let us borrow rakes to get clams which makes it really easy. We put them on ice and then headed home at about 10am. We stopped in tumwater and got dairy queen to beat the heat as we headed south. We got home and took a nap and then cooked some clams and ate and went to bed a little while later.

It was nice for a change.
