A Song of Me

Aug 21, 2006 20:14

I was thinking that I needed a song to describe myself. But then again there was already one out there.
I've written some comments to explain.

The Lady is a Tramp

Writer(s): Rodgers/Hart

She gets too hungry, for dinner at eight - If you don't like it you can take it up with my MD.
She loves the theater, but doesn't come late - Half the fun is watching the audience come in.
She'd never bother, with people she'd hate - They are people of no consequence. I learned that from my great grandmother
That's why the lady is a tramp

Doesn't like crap games, with barons and earls - I prefer cards, more skill involved.
Won't go to harlem, in ermine and pearls - OK, I don't wear ermine anywhere.
Won't dish the dirt, with the rest of those girls - No airheads please.
That's why the lady is a tramp

She loves the free, fresh wind in her hair - Hard to find with Bushy boy in the White House
Life without care - Insane maybe, stupid no.
She's broke, but it's ok - I've accepted poverty as part of being educated.
She hates California, it's cold and it's damp - Please check the following website: City of Eureka California
That's why the lady is a tramp

Doesn't like dice games, with sharpies and frauds - If I won't play with barons and earls what makes you think that I'll play with people that I won't even associate with?
Won't go to Harlem, in Lincolns or Fords - I might consider this is if said vehicles were classic and restored, but when in NYC I prefer the subway.
Won't dish the dirt, with the rest of those broads - Only on a professional basis and if I'm being paid for my time.
That's why the lady is a tramp
I hope that explains a few things.

introduction, humor
