Just to kind of make it "official", I am posting my new years resolutions.
Catie's New Year's Resolutions
1. Be healthier.
The usual lose weight, exercise stuff. Trying to do this as a family (aka with my parents).
2. Graduate
This I hope will not be hard. I am nervous for Student Teaching, but have heard so many good things that I can't help but be excited as well.
3. Apply to Grad School.
I believe I have finally decided what I want to get my Masters' in. Now I just need to apply to a few schools and pray. So far I am planning on applying to NYIT and CUNY Queens.
I also need to:
- Finish my Economics course. I have just started this course online. Last course to complete before graduation.
- Visit thew doctor(s). I have a million visits to make like for my eyes to get contacts and such.
- Get a job. This summer that is. I mean, I do have a job with the Town of Hempstead, but I would like something in my field that pays a lot more. Maybe tutoring.
I want to make this a good year. A happy and healthy year. New Year's Eve was a great night and made me think it started the year off right. Chris and I went with Val and Katie to celebrate Katie's 23rd Birthday at Mulcahy's. It was insanely packed. Chris said he saw a ton of people from HS inclusing his ex Chrissy to whom we said hello. We tend to bump into her a lot at bars. Overall the night was a lot of fun.
Last night was majority. Kim, Marissa, Trish, Sara and I got our majority which really means the end of an era for Sunrise. I was near tears at one point. These were the people I grew up with and became the person I am today because of them. To see that we're "all grown up" and going our separate ways is sad in a way. But I know we'll all stay in touch.
And today is Chris' last day home before he goes back to school. But I'm visiting next weekend. So it's all good.
