I was driving in downtown Appleton where the traffic is considerably heavy, and here comes a kid darting out into traffic. He was perhaps seven years old and he ran between me and oncoming traffic that was moving at a good clip. If the oncoming traffic had NOT slowed down, he would've been hit.
His father and another kid was standing on the opposite side of the street. The kid jumps and says 'yeah!' and what does dad do? He gives the kid the thumb's up....
