It's hard being a cheerful person having a shitty week. People have Expectations.

For the past three weeks I have not had one day in which I have been free of discomfort or pain. First I sprained my ankle, then my impacted wisdom tooth caused a massive infection that welded my jaw nearly shut, then having my teeth x-rayed in prep for the wisdom ( Read more... )

I can only help with that third one:

"Yet, I managed to get away without the police officer getting my licence plate number!"

Sorry you're so poorly, everyone's kinda broken at the moment. Let us know if you need anything.

Zing! Heh, goog one, thanks.

You're an expert in coping with large amounts of "meh" for a long time. Do you have any tips?

Oh dear! I hope you're feeling better soon.

Regarding the dental expenses, talk to your dentist, as they may be able to arrange a time payment plan. This kind of money is hard to come by for just about everyone, so it's in their interests to make it more manageable.

My sister had bad teeth, which she put off getting help for for far too long. After she finally got up the nerve to go to the dentist, she did have to get a staggering amount of work done, but now it is all over and she is much happier. So I guess I'm saying, there is an end in sight. :-)

Thanks for the nice thoughts, they do help.

I can afford to pay for the root canal with cash (hooray for having an emergency fund!) but sadly the wisdom teeth removal will have to be paid for on the day. It just means that I can't cut up my credit card as early as I wanted to, but I can cope with that.

Mostly I am just tired and run down, probably because of the infection. Soon I will be cheery and on top of things again!
