BANDAI, YOU BLOODY BASTARDS. I'LL KILL YOU! T_____T HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!!!!1234 crai

... He... he died. I didn't think they'd actually do it, but they did. I guess I should have known it was coming when he made his sudden appearance to shield Ein and took one final blow from Malice. Whyyyyy, oh why did he do it? ;_; He said why, but that's no good reason for him to go and die. He did reveal what he sacrificed for his diviner, and it proved to be correct with my guess, though I suppose the developers didn't make it very subtle: his emotions. It sounds horribly cliché now, but the plot is no less moving for me. I don't think any other scene in the game will have so great an impact on me, even though there is still a lot of potential drama in the next, and what might be the final chapter of the game. The developers did put effort to give him two fully rendered CGs for his death, though. And one scene right after the other. They make me want to cry just looking at them, oh dear Ledah, struggling with pain. Yet at the same time showing very little of his suffering. It might be that whole no-emotions thing.

All this time, he fulfilled his duties for the gods faithfully, all the more efficiently because he had no feelings to hold him back. Only now to see that what he was doing was not the will of the gods, but a deception from one who would rebel against them. This and more, he essentially "confessed" before he died. I suppose it is fitting then, that they named that final CG scene "Eternal Rest". But he's not supposed to rest until he fights alongside with me again, damn it. ;_;

And I love how when Ein gets back to the village no one talks about it or even gives him consolation or some kind of memoria. Jerks. Though I didn't speak to everyone in the village yet because I stopped playing for the time, but I spoke to all the important people and not a single mention or passing of grief. Some would say it's out of respect and keeping a safe distance, perhaps. But not even a single condolence. I am sad.

You know, none of this would have happened if Ein didn't fight him in the first place. He could have been all wussy and tried to beg and plead with Ledah at the second aquarium. He did plead, but not enough. Well since the fight was inevitable, he didn't have to go and freaking mortally wound him. Though perhaps the fatal wound was caused by Malice. Then she makes the second, final one, though somewhat unintentionally.

Malice must die.

Backtracking a bit, Ein says Ledah's name at the beginning of their fight. At first I had no idea what he was saying, and I had to replay the clip four or five times to get what he was saying. It turns out I've been pronouncing Ledah's name wrong. I put my emphasis on the first syllable instead of the second, and I also didn't pronounce it the "French" way. The correct way sounds so weird. I don't like it. :( Maybe it's just because Ein pronounced it stupidly. *makes up excuses*

AAaaarrrg, why did they have to kill him off? T_T Why couldn't they just god-mod him and let him live? Sigh. Though in retrospect I think if it happened any other way I probably wouldn't feel so passionately about his character. If they had him take Ein's side and "reform" and fight with the party, well, that probably just wouldn't work out as nice, as much as it would be great to not have him die. He's "The Solitary Angel" afterall, so it's probably better when he works alone, or just with Ein. I hope he gets resurrected at the end of the game. *selfishly denies him Eternal Rest* :[

In any case, I'm still mad.

If you read these spoilers without having finished the game/having intention to play it, for shame. :(

I will never forget this betrayal! *draws fanart in memoria* (???)
