Lovin Life

Last night was so so so much fun. It started off fairly chill, just me sittin around reading Little Women on an adirondack chair, but then I got sucked into going with Rachel to her friend Tommy's house in Orwell, about half an hour away. 3 other friends of theirs went as well. We showed up at this cute little summer house in the country, stuffed full of plaques and trophies from the dynasty of runners in Tommy's large family. Tommy is a supersenior feb, the other kids were Rachel (senior feb), Sean (just graduated), Scott (just graduated), and Gita (my year, works with Rachel). We basically had an awesome time doing incredibly wholesome things like baking cookies, playing pictionary, and watching Lady and the Tramp. We also all trooped outside and lay out in a field and stargazed and cuddled under sleeping bags. It was kind of hard to see the stars because the moon was so bright. So people did animal impressions instead- Gita could do a mean chicken and Tommy did a hilarious velociraptor imitation. We also learned many quality phrases in Latvian and Arabic. And when we were playing pictionary Tommy and I were team "Dot and Dianne"- his idea, not mine. A-mazing.

At about 1 in the morning we all went inside to get some sleep. I slept like a log in one of the girl's bedrooms. We rolled out of bed and peaced out at about 7:45 this morning, which gave me enough time to take a shower and get over to work, in time for my boss to pick me up and take me to the Addison County Fair. Sandi and I had an excellent time watching 4-H-ers, looking at animals, admiring tractors and alpacas, and drinking maple shakes. So that took care of my morning nicely.

I am le sad because Julia is leaving tomorrow, as is Chester, leaving me sans amis and sans a car. Boo. I'll just have to mooch Rachel's friends next week, I suppose.

Tonight, My Big Fat Greek wedding will hopefully be watched, and popcorn eaten. Huzzah.
