"do it now cause tomorrow ain't promised today"
oh man... great two weeks. i've hired nearly 30 staff members. about 30 more to go! went out to camp this week just to look around and starting getting things ready for the summer. at a conference in DC i spoke to groups of latino girls (in somewhat accurate spanish) about summer camp opportunities and financial aid. my spanish may have been better if i had known ahead of time that the girls wouldn't speak english! in ohio this weekend, visiting the fam. my little cousins will be moving to florida soon, so this may be my last chance to see them for a while.
alright, so i don't move into camp until may 21st ish. between now and then i really need to move. my commute has ranged from 45min to 1hr 30min, depending on traffic. yeah, even with a starbucks, that sucks. help... i'm looking for a place close to work and in a nice area. my office is in NW DC on connecticut ave at the van ness metro stop. there are some nice apartments near there, but they are in huge highrise buildings, which is not my first choice. but, living close enough to work that i don't have to pay for parking at my office would be amazing. and i like the area. and now that i've been riding the metro more often, i'm realizing that (i'm am such a looser) i get really really motion sick. i thought i might outgrow this, but it seems to be getting worse. and, for whatever reason, i don't get sick when i'm driving, i mean when i'm the driver.
i love my job... i can wakeup whenever i feel like it and get to the office whenever, so long as i get the job done (and work my ass off). awesome.
enough for now... this thing has become more of a photo album. ha whatever.
