So first I saw your icon and immediately thought "Oh, excellent! Mary's posted another H/G story." Then I saw the NC-17 and it was if my eyes couldn't adjust, or my brain couldn't keep up, or something, as my gaze flickered back and forth between your name and the rating and your name and the rating, and then finally recovering my jaw from the floor I read your story.
*GRINS*
I have to say that I feel completely out of it. I had no idea you wrote smut, ever. Of course, I knew that you enjoyed reading it, but I always saw you as a 'fade to black' kind of writer. Who knew?? And just look what I've been missing! LOL.
Lovely story. I love that they are so fumbling and innocent and new to the whole thing, and it's so *real*. SO REAL. I adore all the asides and the tension-breakers and just the wit/fun of it all, while still being incredibly sexy (without being overly so) all at the same time. You handled this sooooo well. I love the way you have of resolving them--everything is not always perfect, but they always find a way back to rights at the end, and I think you've captured them so perfectly here. So, so, so well done. Love it. *hugs you*

I never post anything NC-17 on my journal - just cause I don't lock it and I know there are some younger people who read there. If I wrote for a different pairing, I'd probably would put it on my journal and then lock it. *ponders* Ask moonette about the NC-17 Will Wood story I wrote for her a while back. :)
I'm glad you thought the sexy parts were real (as opposed to purple prose) - that's what I'm hoping to convey rather than anything too romaniticized.

It is my personal philosophy that it never hurts to have an extra hug or two. Particularly when needed. :-)
