I really liked this, partly because of the humor, like curia_regis said (the yellow underwear totally had me cracking up--how I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall when Harry opened those! And the Quidditch match in the flat, with the dungbombs as Bludgers. Brilliant!). But I also loved the...oh, heck, I can't think of the right word... The seriousness, or maybe poignancy, I suppose. Nervous Harry, who had to have his socks be just right. And Molly mothering Harry, just like she did Ron.

And this line:
The walk to platform nine and three-quarters seemed exceptionally long. Harry ambled along platform 10 slowly. This was where he first saw her eight years ago. They were both children then. So much had changed but Harry needed so much to stay the same.

I love this line.

Plus, Neville made an appearance, which is always a bonus for me. :P

The appearance of Neville was a good thing, but I liked Socks Quidditch and yellow underwear more!

I got the idea for Sock Quidditch from a Big Brother series a few years back - true! They were so bored they made up 'Thong Tennis' where you use a flip-flop (thong in Aussie lingo) to hit a rolled up pair of socks back and forth over a makeshift net. It seemed to fit ;)
