Don't try to sound profound
Because I'll take your words and spit at 'em on the ground
I don't know why it's so hard for you
To recognize what you did, in fact, do
When you stood at the crossroads of your life...
You took the road that falsified itself to be the shorter road
When in fact it would turn out to be the road that no man has ever made his way out from
The road that loses you for eternity
So when the time comes in your life
When you roll over in your bed and there'll be no wife
And when you have something on your mind
There will be no one that you'll be able to find
That you can talk about it with
You won't be able to laugh with anyone about memories that will live on with you until you die
And because you'll never learn to forgive yourself
You'll walk up the stairs that lead to heaven alone...
Then you'll fall until you hit the rocks that cover a forsaken floor
And when you hit the ground, you know exactly where you are
And why you're here
If only you hadn't convinced yourself that you had to lie to the people you love
In order to find your way of the road
...Of no return
