show's ok. better than expected. and i feel guilty because my standards are so obscenely high. but i'm proud of everyone in the show and who worked on it, it's been quite fun, surprisingly.

so this is really for you guys, who were a part of it. i love you all very much, and i've really enjoyed working with you. you all look so beautiful onstage, and everyone really has one thing thing that makes them special in the show, that gives them a moment or a laugh. gotta give jewel that, if nothing else.

on other fronts, i have to pack for texas & wyoming starting tomorrow. what a buzzkill.

OH!

so, this morning, i approach tenley starbucks approx. 9am. sign on door. i read. says "due to power outage, we will be closed until nine o clock. thanks." well, it's nine, so i bang on the door. a woman walks over, opens it.

woman: can't you read? we're closed.
[pretty desperate]
me: you're starbucks. it's nine am. you have to be open.
woman: we had a power outage. we're just getting everything back in order now. please, if you could just be patient and wait for fifteen minutes, we'd greatly appreciate it.
[very desperate]
me: well i have a doctors appointment. i need my coffee.
woman: i understand miss, but we're closed.
[ABSURDLY DESPERATE BORDERING ON IRATE]
me: you don't understand. i need my coffee. i need it.
woman: i understand miss.
[EVEN MORE SO]
me: well the sign on the door says you'll be open at nine. it's nine o four. please, just one cup of coffee, i'll tip, please.
woman: [irritated] can't you read?
[FRANTIC]
me: YES BUT I CANT GO A MORNING WITHOUT MY COFFEE!

woman closes door, i bang on it for a few more minutes, try to keep myself from bursting into tears of frustration and pure need, i leave.

WHAT is the world coming to?
