(no subject)
Yeah yeah. So it's sunday, and i'm taking a break from studying to write this. like a typical idiot, i put off all my work til today, so i'm sorta swamped. but the good news it that means that the last two days have been incredible. One thing i've realized about college life is that so much is going on that one day seems as long as a week out in hte normal world. seriously it easily seems like i could have been here for a month. every day, every meal, every spare chance is spent meeting new people and hanging out with all the AWESOME AWESOME people that i've met. i'll give you the weeekend update now, the rest of last week was boring classes mostly.
friday- classes til two. rachel and i had fun in bio just making fun of things and talking, the class seems cool enough. i found out that a couple hallmates are in my microecon class, which is a big lecture class, 150 students strong. finding friends in there was so hard. i didn't see anyone i knew the first day. the bio class is the same way, the only way i found a friend in that class was that mike (my roomie) told me that rachel had the same class. mike and i are getting along really well, he's a really cool guy. we have completely separate groups of friends, but i think that makes things easier. then friday night we had convocation. it was long and i thought the speeches got a little boring (although i was more sleepy from lack of sleep thna anything else). it was a cool feeling to walk through the Wren building though. never again will that happen until as a class we all walk through in the opposite direction for graduation, symbolizing hte end of our stay at William and Mary. Pretty cool, huh?? i have some cool pics, i'll post them when i get a chance. then after convo, me and adam met up with some girls from Yates. we hung out in the courtyard for a while, then went to Aromas to just chill out. now it gets interesting, cause i started talking to this girl. we'd hung out with her and her friends a couple times, and i'd had no interest whatsoever in her. but when we started talking that night, our personalities just clicked. it was amazing, like never before have i just had such an instantaneous connection with someone like that. i went from thinking she was completely not my type and that i didn't really like being around her, to being amazed that we had so much in common and that our personalities were seriously so close. so that was really really cool. we hung out at aromas, then split up. adam and i went to compete in our hall's scavenger hunt, and along with hilary and pooja, we formed team "track spikes". we ended up running EVERYWHERE but we won it!! by a wide margin, although it ended up being a tie, long story. so we got free milkshakes and we won the scavenger hunt. then adam and i ended up going back over the Yates dorm to hang out with the girls.
sat- woke up around noon, went to the Caf w/ the Yates girls, cause it has the best food on campus, although its really far from my dorm. sat was a lazy day. i hung out around the dorm for a while, went and returned a book @ the bookstore, nothing too excited. we went to the "back to class bash", which wasn't terribly cool. then last night the girls from down the hall (the really cool girls, like christina and kate and pooja) and us all went to "screen on the green" where they inflate this huge movie screen and show movies out on our common green (called the Sunken Gardens). it was wicked awesome. we saw madagascar, and The Longest Yard. it was sweet. then hung out for a while, played some fun games (ten fingers game and w/ the love dice) haha it was, interesting, so to put it. then bed, and now i'm doing my homework. thats all for now!!! gotta love college life!!
