HE'S ALIVE!
Hey everyone! So I'm sure you've all been waiting to hear how i've been (actually most of you have probably already talked to me and made sure i was ok) but for those of you that i haven't been in contact with, here's the update:
So i had to get up at 4;30 in the morning and i slept while my mom drove us up to near Troy, Michigan. my brother got up too and came with us which was so amazing of him to get up and then help keep my mom awake and then he was there for hte whole surgery and he made sure that i was taken care of the entire ride home. what a great kid. so about 6;30 we got there, i went in and got my hospital gown on, lay down and a bunch of nurses and the anesthesiologists came in and i filled out some stuff. then they stuck an IV in me, and i drifted off and woke up an hour later. the last thing i really remember is my bed hitting hte doorway as they rolled me out, and then climbing out of my rolling bed and onto hte surgery bed. so anyways i was drugged up all of Tuesday, the ride home was uneventful and then i slept/ rested the rest of the day. i still can't breathe through my nose at all, this is a pain because 1. i can't taste anything, and 2. try sleeping without breathing through your nose AT ALL. your mouth and throat become unbelievably dry. i downed three glasses of water in the morning and i still felt dry. plus it's hard to even drink once your throat gets dry cause the water makes you cough. but anyways you don't want to hear me complain, so the short of it is: i'm doing much better today, i've been packing stuff for college and moving around and stuff, and i've been feeling pretty good. rager is coming over tonite, the first person besides my family to see me since the surgery. my mom explicitly banned all girls until at least tomoro, and she was going to not let me see anyone but i convinced her that rager should be allowed to come over so he'll be here soon. and it's time for me to go eat dinner, i'm sure it will be something delicious that i can't taste at all (i hate it!!!!!) so thats my update. I'm surviving and doing well, hope you are all enjoying your summers. -jon
