A day at the beach
Today all the Heatwave girls (except Vanessa) went to the beach and we had an awesome time! We went skim boarding and played (or tried to play) volleyball. I was surprised how bad we were at it...I mean you give us a few gloves, a ball, and a bat and we can kick your ass in softball but with just a volleyball and a net we have no chance. There was Red Tide at the beach which was pretty gross and the sun wasn't really out but we went to Rosie's beach house and had a good time there.
The only thing that pretty much sucked at the beach is that some of the girls couldn't stop smoking or drinking alcohol for the few hours we were together. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that they shouldn't be smoking or drinking because I don't know what they should and shouldn't be doing. However, when we're having a team bonding day, is it necessary to bring things like that? And the main thing is that we're a team...a family...and say they were drinking and then have to drive home and something happens...is it not my responsibility because I didn't stop them? I belive that because we're a team/family it means that we have look out for each other and take responsibility with or for each other.
Sorry if I am ranting but I just had to get that out.
