Some lady in the elevator turned to me and said
"So- historic day for Uchicago!"
I stare at her cluelessly.
"The Nobel Prize in Economics!"
"Wow- really? I hadn't heard!"
"Yes, Roger Myerson!"
"Oh!"
"...
Do you know who he is?"
"...no?"
"What year are you?"
"Second. In the College."
"Oh."
Then she tells me I should go to the press conference in Reynolds Club, and to be there early because it's gonig to be ridiculously crowded.
Didn't you hear me? I go to school here- i.e. I have too much work to go to a press conference right now. Thanks.
..although it would have been really cool.
