The Other Baby
Jiyong took Gaho back from the hospital. Luckily he was during his break so he could fully take care of his baby. He was sorry that he had left him all alone in Seoul when he was in Japan.
Jiyong had never taken his eyes from Gaho since he was back. His baby stilled needed more time to be completely recovered. He treated him, the one-year-old dog, like a-month-old puppy.
Gaho missed his owner a lot too. He never left Jiyong’s side and always asked for more love and care.
At some point, Gaho seemed to take all of Jiyong’s time to himself. That was really not Youngbae’s favor.
Youngbae was working on his solo that had been scheduled to release in the first half of 2010. After Big Bang Electric Love Tour in Japan, he went to the new office early and came back home very late at night everyday. Sometimes, he did not come back at all.
When Youngbae was working like this, if Jiyong did not have any solo schedule, he would be with him at the studio and work on his laptop quietly, just to feel each other’s presence.
This past week was different. Youngbae hardly met his boyfriend. Last night, he came back late at night and Jiyong was already asleep. He wanted to at least have a goodnight kiss and hug him to sleep, but as soon as he sat down he had to jump off the bed. Gaho was there and cried in pain because Youngbae sat on him. Jiyong sleepily pulled the dog into his embrace. He rubbed his wrinkle skin up and down to calm him and without a word to Youngbae, he went right back to sleep.
Youngbae looked at his sleeping boyfriend unbelievably. Although he understood how Jiyong was when he was deeply asleep, he could not help himself from being upset. It was not the first time, but it was the second time within this week.
Quietly, Youngbae walked back to his own bedroom.

Jiyong woke up a little early today. Last night he thought he dreamt of Youngbae. That made him realized they had not had any real talk for almost a week. He missed him and wanted to see him before his boyfriend left for work.
Jiyong looked at the clock. It was not 7 o’clock. He was certain that Youngbae was still sleeping.
Unfortunately, Youngbae was nowhere to be seen. And it was quite weird. If he would not come back, he always left Jiyong a message. Last night, he did not.
Jiyong wanted to give him a call but he was afraid that he might bother Youngbae. So he decided to go to the office.

It was early, so Jiyong took a walk from their apartment to the new office building. He met Teddy in front of the elevator. The 1tym leader was about to leave.
“What’s up, hyung!” greeted Jiyong.
“What’s up, bro,” said Teddy sleepily.
“Leaving?” asked Jiyong.
“Yeah, I haven’t sleep for two days,” said Teddy adding, “You should tell your boyfriend that I have to rest too! He’s been working like crazy this week.”
“Sorry hyung,” said Jiyong, “but you know him.”
“I know him,” said Teddy turning serious, “that’s why I know something’s been bothering him for awhile.” He looked at Jiyong and asked, “Do you guys have a fight?”
“No,” said Jiyong wondering what’s wrong with Youngbae.
“If you said so,” said Teddy turning away to leave, “I really have to go. See you later, bro.”
Jiyong kept thinking about what Teddy told him until his feet took him to the studio where Youngbae was.
Kush looked too happy to see him at the door.
“Thanks God you are here!” said Kush giving him a hi-five. “YB is inside. Fix your problem. I’ll go find myself a cup of coffee,” he said and left.
Jiyong was about to say that they did not have any fight, but Kush was already gone.
Jiyong walked into the studio to see Youngbae sitting in front of a laptop, working.
“You are back too early, hyung?” said Youngbae. When he turned around and saw Jiyong instead, he just turned back to his laptop.
“Hey,” said Jiyong, realizing what Teddy and Kush told him.
“Hey,” said Youngbae with his eyes fixing on the screen. He obviously pretended to be busy working.
“Youngbae,” Jiyong called his name and sat down on the couch next to him. He rested his chin on his shoulder and asked, “What are you doing?” The tip of his nosed touched his cheek.
Youngbae did not move away but did not reply too. Seeing so, Jiyong put his arms around his waist.
“Are you mad at me?” asked Jiyong resting his head on Youngbae’s shoulder.
Silent
“I’m sorry for whatever I did,” said Jiyong. He smiled when Youngbae sighed and put his hands over Jiyong’s.
“By the way, I dreamed that you came to see me last night,” added Jiyong.
Youngbae turned to Jiyong unbelievably and said, “You did not dream. I did go to your room last night, and the night before too.”
“Really? But wh..?” Jiyong stopped before he finished his question. He thought he knew what bother his boyfriend. It’s him!
“I’m sorry,” said Jiyong tightening his embrace. “You know what it’s like when I am deeply asleep,” explained Jiyong, “and Gaho is just getting better so I let him sleep on the bed.”
“I know,” said Youngbae. He turned around to Jiyong and hugged him back tightly. “I just miss you too much,” he added and kissed Jiyong lovingly.
“I miss you too,” said Jiyong once their lips parted shortly. He kissed Youngbae back again and again as if he wanted to make it up for him.

It’s Jiyong’s cell ringing.
“Sorry,” said Jiyong answering his cell.
“Maknae?” said Jiyong.
“Where are you, hyung? Gaho is running everywhere!” shouted Seungri through the phone.
“Do you have to go to the university today?” Jiyong asked instead.
“No, I don’t. What about your dog and where are you?” Seungri asked him again.
“Good! So you can take care of Gaho for your favourite hyung today,” said Jiyong with a leader-like tone.
“He is your baby! What about you? Where are you, hyung?” Seungri kept asking.
“Me? I have to take care of my other baby today. See you later, maknae,” said Jiyong and with that he finished the call.
Jiyong then turned back to Youngbae and continued what Seungri stopped them.

Seungri prepared lunch for Gaho. He looked at him and said, “Poor doggy, your dad has another puppy.”
