If you try to get a lion or tiger to jump through fire, they'd get scared and start biting things, right? But circus folks tell those cats that they'll get turned into fur coats if they bite people.

And then they use whips and chains and chairs, so circuses are slave revolts waiting to happen. It'd be like that Spartabacus movie except with more cats and more biting people.
