The most horrible thing happened to me at work yesterday. I approached this table of eight people and this old blow-hard says to me ,"If you don't pray with us, you don't get a tip!" WTF?
When I delivered their lunch and tried to scoot away asap, the old goat, who had clasped hands with the folks on either side of him said,"Well, we're waiting, come on, we wanna eat!" Like I'm supposed to stand there and fucking PRAY with them!
I was in hell, I was in a science fiction movie, I was in a Disney theme park called Colorado Springs, home of the Religious Reicht and Focus on the Family!!! I mumbled about getting them more mashed potatoes and scrammed. Later, I asked how they were doing and he says, "I"m BLESSED, but YOU didn't pray with us so there goes your tip!"
I was spiritually harrassed. It felt like shit. I was face to face with the embodiment of everything I feel is wrong with the christian conservative.
The kicker is he put me thru all that and HE WASN'T EVEN THE ONE PAYING THE CHECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
