I'm just beginning to realize how selfish so many people are. I know that the topic of poverty, etc. has been reiterated to us time and time again, but it seems that no one is getting the point. We can't be or why do we pretend to be scraping by, when millions and millions are redefining what it means to scrape by every day?

I mean, essay season really sucks, I hardly get any sleep, I forgot to eat dinner yesterday and it seems like life is going in circles (essay, sleep, essay, read, essay, etc.). Still, who am I to complain about things like this when I have the opportunity to help those who would love the chance to even go to school?

Really if it's that much of a burden, I should just pay for someone to come and take my place.

We all know that our lives could always be worse, that the environment is turning into a pile of shit, that there are so many corrupt governments it seems impossible to do anything, that poverty is killing 130 million children a year (that's one every 2 seconds...).

Overall, I guess my point is that, even though we all have lives to life, perhaps we can take a few moments to donate time or money and make even the slightest of differences.
