All I want for Christmas...
A JOB!!!
Seriously. I dont need clothes, video games, movies, a new laptop, an iPhone... I just want to have something stable. 9-5 in a cubicle with benefits and a salary that will support me.
There is a part time position and two full time positions in the horizon for me. I would like to think that none of them are way off in the distance, but I don't want to get my hopes up to high either.
The part time position is at another coffee shop. But this one isn't corporate. It's a cute neighborhood place called the Coffee Conservatory in Culver. One of my old bean coworkers gave me the tip and recommendation so that gives me some hope of replacing the bean.
Full time number one is a position as a case assistant for a large law firm in DTLA. That is the ideal because i already have a year under my belt working in a law firm and I am considering going to law school. But before I can make that decision, I would like to get some more experience in the field. It's a lot of work and a lot of stress, but I'm positive I can handle it if I am truly passionate about it.
And position number two, admin assistant to two private equity firm execs. It pays more than the case assistant and I won't be picky if I get this positing over the one at the law firm, but i would prefer to be a case assistant.
Either which way, I'm hoping for a post Christmas miracle.
