life, oh life, oh liiiiiiiiiiife. (tee hee)
sooo. My kitchen's pretty much finished, now I just have to wait til the ceiling's been plastered, it's been decorated *and* the new floor's been put in. gaaah! it seems never-ending...
anyway, today I get to move my stuff back out of the bedroom and back to the kitchen where it belongs. ah the joys of microwaving your dinner in the bedroom (!)
friday night I went with the Two Steves to see a play in the festival, The Day They Shot John Lennon at St. Ninian's hall in comely bank. The play was really good, not too expensive either. It was really funny in places, sad and sometimes insightfully eye-opening in others. I would recommend going to see it, except that I think it's run finished yesterday!
then we proceeded to get rather pleasantly pished at Bert's in stockie! :D Macca and his girfriend Steph were there too, with a friend of theirs (funny guy) Stuart, who could quote eddie izzard and father ted word for word ;) it was good to finally meet Steph, who's lovely. already planning a double date (cheesy, I know) at diane's pool hall. means we kill two birds with one stone (so to speak!) by drinking *and* playing pool. also met mark's little sister - I think it was definitely a case of being surrounded by the stockbridge massive!
The next morning I discovered a huuuge bar of dairy milk caramel which I didn't even recall buying! It could have been worse, I suppose ;d
yesterday I managed to somehow be so chipper that even a rotten hangover couldn't phase me... also went to fopp and got 2 new CDs, 'recurring dream' (best of crowded house) and the rare version of Feeder's 'Polythene' album - was so excited to find it, as I'd never seen it before and have been hunting for it for aaages!
also got some funky tights in the jenners sale, yey! then went down to leith to visit my sis in duke st. I borrowed Rob's pc for a bit so I could burn a cd compliation as a wee surprise for Stephen :) would have done it in cramond, but the bloody burner's knackered. (nothing to do with me, honest!!)
then went over to Stephen's to see him for a bit, we were both still so knackered from friday but had a really nice night in :)
well, I'm off to pack some stuff to go down to the gala flat... laters.
