I seem to be most of the way recovered from the physical aspects of the Rockstar Plague of '08, though not the academic effects. Apparently I have a paper due for French class on Monday, only the paper needs to be written in French, which I'm actually less worried about than the fifty pages of Flaubert (also in French) I need to have read in order to write the paper. I also have a painting due on Monday, but whoops!, I've yet to finish stretching the canvas itself. Bless the relatively speedy drying time of acrylics. If I were still working in oils I wouldn't have a prayer of getting the thing finished on time, because oil take about a year (I'm not exaggerating) to fully dry.
In other news, I've been in three different hardware stores in the past two days. Yesterday I switched out the plug and practically built an air duct on the dryer the house bought off CL (IN THE DARK because all the lights in the garage are out). Then today I got replacement staples for my staple gun and wood cut to size so I can remount one of my canvases from last term with lighter boards. If I'm not careful I'll start wearing pants regularly or something equally butch. Power tools are pretty sexy.
