Finally last night Tom and I actually had a night out. We went to an evening with David Sedaris at the Kimmel Center's Academy of Music. Awesome place to see someone speak. And we were in awesome nosebleed seats. The very top of the amphitheatre. We then went to the Hotel a few blocks down to get books signed. I liked the fact that he was learning german, and I understood the random words he had been learning. I thought about leaving him with a few vocab words, but the good ones I know aren't really suitible for speaking inpublic. He signed my copy of when engulfed in flams and the hardcopy of the christmas book that we're going to send to Vicky for christmas.
The only thing missing from the evening was a david sedaris book tour t-shirt that was sponsered by costco.
I love book signings, they're quieter then concerts and you still meet a variety of people.
