No longer is Gwen the newest addition to our household. No, there is another. Three new pretties.
Behold, my beautiful new shoes, purchased last week and given their trial-by-feet at the Vancouver Aquarium on Sunday (which you can read more about
here). During that excursion I stressed about crowds, the stroller, my sore back, and my tiny baby, but I never once thought about my feet despite the fact that I was on them ALL DAY. Clearly, these are the right shoes.
I also splurged and bought this lovely thing, a technical moisture-wicking top which is probably more fancy than most walkers bother with.
But I figure if I am going to spend all summer training for my
half-marathon in the fall, and nearly all that training is going to take place with a baby, then I'd better have a nice cool shirt that I can nurse in. (Note the zipper down the front for just that purpose. The designers of this shirt didn't have any idea, I'm sure, that their athletic wear would be usurped in this way, which just makes it that much more delightful.)
Official training starts in 12 days. I'll be posting here about my walks as a way to keep myself accountable. Please comment if you'd like to be on the filter and help keep me motivated.
