Engaged!
I am now engaged to be married to Mr Daniel McNeil!
He whisked me off to Paris last weekend to a hotel, arranged a very nice restaurant for Saturday night, went down on one knee in the middle of the restaurant and asked me! It was lovely, and the restaurant gave us champagne on the house, and a sparkler in my desert!
I did cry (of course) and for a moment couldn't remember which hand to let him put the ring on! Turns out he'd asked my Dad for permission too, and Dad hadn't said anything to anyone, not even Mum.
We're getting married fairly soon, because we want to be married, not just engaged! The plan is November this year. I'm rather intimidated with the amount of organisation that getting married seems to entail, but I think I've found the right venue to help me sort it all out! I'm also rather aware that there are expectations to meet on both family sides which may occasionally be challenging. However, It'll be great fun, and I have the best chief bridesmaid in the world, Fifitrix, to help me. With her skills, it's bound to go well!
I'm really excited, and so's Dan. He's trying to design invitations on his Mac right now!
