The Puppetmaster
Then you should understand what I'm talking about. We're the last Waterbenders of the Southern Tribe. We have to fight these people whenever we can. Wherever they are, with any means necessary!
It was like every cliché about missing puzzle pieces and links in a chain she had ever heard, the words finally triggering a connection she had ignored all along. And it was not in slow motion that her gaze snapped to the other woman, seeing lines and clenched muscles and darkness that she had missed before.
Any means…you should understand…we…have to fight…we…any means…we…we…we.
Hadn’t she heard all of those lines before?
