Criminy It's been a while.
I just realized I never actually posted about my getting pregnant. Well, I'm pregnant...for approximately one or two more weeks actually. My official ETA is August 23rd, but the range of delivery dates could be anywhere from August 16th (as in tomorrow) to September 6th before I'm considered overdue.
They're throwing a shower tomorrow as Martians are wont to do...any excuse for a party. As of today, I'm officially ready to empty the contents of my uterus. I'm starting to become increasingly more irritable and uncomfortable...a real joy to work with I'm sure. I can't complain really too much. I've had a fairly healthy pregnancy and have only gained 5 lbs. I'm fairly tickled by the fact that I'll soon get to meet the squirmy little tape worm that's been occupying my abdominal space. I don't know whether it's a sheila or a bloke. I've went the atypical route using a homebirth midwife and not having every inch of my belly scanned by ultrasonic vibrations. It's either going to be a James Samuel or a Samantha Marie (or Mae...haven't quite decided).
The only thing that tempers my current joy is the fact that in the space of a few months while I was busy growing this little critter my husband was out destroying our marriage with a female workmate of his. Needless to say, I soon will resume using my maiden name. I never really cared for Roes anyway. It sounded pretty, but you always have to spell it out.
Well, that's my update...just a few months overdue.
