Debate topics needed
Every friday my 10th grade English class has a Friday Forum. They gather in a circle and discuss a topic, after reading a brief article or summary of an issue.
Any suggestions?
Last week we did gender equality and this was one girl's arguement IN FAVOR of feminine inferiority:
"You don't need to read the bible, go to church or be a christian to believe this, it's just common sense: Woman was created from a man, god made her from Adam's rib, and she was made to serve him. Yeah, it's just common sense."
Note to self: teach a lesson on what Common Sense means.
