OOhhhh farding HECK, would you believe that I sent this email to he wrong person? Boy are THEY going to be confused.
So... um... Um, hello.
Okay this is... probably going to look as if it came out of nowhere, and if you don't have time to deal with the incoherent ramblings of a twenty one year old British kid with Neuclearmitophobia (or however you spell it) then that's fine. I jut felt like perhaps I should talk to someone about this who knows about these things better than I do.
Yeah, this is Scarab Dynasty. We know each other through LJ? (you can totally tell I just copy-ppasted the email can't you? But I am, actually, that worried so um... yeah) I remember that I talked to you a long while back about a fear of some description that I had, (South Korea, I believe?) and I came out of the whole thing feeling a lot ... less nervous about the situation. So I thought maybe I could contact you again about a more recent fear and... yeah... is that okay?
You know about this whole fuss with Georgia and Russia blowing their heads about the invasion thing that's been in the news of late, of course. And Poland? Proving themselves to be the masters of bad timing, have just agreed a Missile deal with the US.
I dunno if this means that Russia has changed it's mind about pulling out of Georgia on Friday (they're being damn slow about it) but... yeah, they are NOT happy about this. Seriously. This was the report (I know, I know, they're deliberately orchestrated to scare, but it's WORKING, damn it.)
US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice and Polish foreign minister Radek Sikorski signed the agreement for the base, which has angered Russia. The formal signing came six days after the two countries agreed to a deal that will see 10 US interceptor missiles placed just 115 miles from Russia's western frontier. The deal has sparked threats from Russia that Poland is making itself vulnerable to attack -- even a nuclear one. The deal, and Russia's rhetoric, have further strained Moscow's ties with the West in the wake of its invasion of Georgia.
...I don't even know what an interceptor missile is but it doesn't sound good... And I know exactly what a nuclear weapon is.
So I guess what I mean to ask is... Can you tell me I'm being an idiot for worrying about this? I really hope you can honestly tell me that. I'd really rather be an idiot than terrified as I currently am. I mean, nobody's going to get nuked here, are they? (I admit to being rather selfishly more worried about ourselves here in the UK than Poland...)
Um... yeah. Thanks for your time. Sorry to throw this at you. I wouldn't if I weren't so honestly freaked out about it.

PS: sorry if you get this email more than once. Mailing issues,... ... kinda wanted to make sure it got through.
