Taris, Sunday morning (FDT)

Mar 22, 2009 10:32

The reports went better than they had last time. Mainly because nobody brought up drugs even if the Masters did seem suspicious of it. Then there was a day full of lessons and tests (and Zayne came in last during all of them, as per usual), and then several lectures about how the Padawans could have done better and watch out for the Sith and so on. Most of what they talked about was pretty old hat for the Padawans of Taris by now.

But after all of that was said and done, Shad pulled Zayne aside. "You know what this weekend is, right?"

"It's... the weekend we all come back here?" Zayne tried.

"No, Zayne! Aerial Dueling Champsionships on Jervo's World!" Shad reminded him. Dueling had become a popular form of sports entertainment over recent years, and dueling on swoop bikes was a branch of the dueling trend that had a rabid fanbase on Taris, the so-called Home of the Swoop Bike. Zayne and Shad were both in that fanbase. "After I check in on Shel and Shay, you and I are going to the Cantina to watch the tournament."

"How did I forget that?" Zayne asked. "I'm in. I don't have to catch the shuttle out until tonight."

"Great!" Shad said. "Should I tell Shel you said hi?"

"Yeah, of course," Zayne said.

"Excellent. Okay, meet you in an hour?"

"See you there," Zayne said. Okay, he was going to be exhausted when he got back to Fandom. But still. AERIAL DUELING CHAMPIONSHIPS. He had to see it.

[OOC: Establishy. I'm throwing in the fancy new canon that Zayne is a big dork when it comes to aerial dueling just for fun.

And now I have hours to figure out what kind of sport Jolee would be a fan of before I post Caritas, just to continue with the theme.]
