In_This_Guise Gave Me The Letter 'S'...
The rules are simple. Comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.
(mine aren't in any order of importance, just as I thought them up) :-p
1. Surrender~ I picked this word now because sometimes I get so stuck on a thought, idea or feeling, and no matter what goes on around me I can't let it go. But I know that it's important to sometimes surrender to the deeper voice inside, perhaps God, and just let go of my limited mind and feelings, and let the Higher Power take over.
2. Sunshine~ It's beautiful, and in small doses healthy, and not something we get very much of around here so we kind of really appreciate it when we do get some.
3. Sex~ Well, it's a very good thing, and an important part of a healthy relationship. And it's a very good thing~ did I already mention that? The best way to have sex is when you're in love. I could go on but I won't.
4. Sandwiches~ A part of my daily work routine~ I usually work by myself all day so before I open shop I go by this little corner place where they have nice sandwiches and sometimes free coffee (they get out the fat-free milk for me cause they know I don't drink half and half). Very nice people and I have their sandwiches for breakfast (yeah, breakfast) nearly every day. :)
5. Spiders~ I really like spiders, especially the bigger ones. I don't know why exactly, maybe since I got to pet a tarantula many years ago and realised how soft and harmless they are. One of my favourites is the Daddy Longlegs. I will never hurt a spider. I also like the fact that they get rid of all the real pests by eating them.
6. Sudoku~ Someone introduced me to this game while I just happened to be passing through England awhile back... It's incredibly fun and it looks so easy in the beginning and then it gets you near the very end. I love it. I have my own Sudoku game and am kinda addicted to it.
7. Sauerkraut~ Yes, I really, really love sauerkraut. I'll eat it with anything, and I'll even eat it right out of the jar. It's been this way since I was very little and will never change. Not that it has anything to do with it, but I also love red cabbage. :P
8. Storms~ It's fun when I'm indoors and get to see and hear a really good storm. I really enjoy thunder and lightening, I think they're beautiful, dangerous and exciting. Really heavy rain is great to listen to and watch, someimes it's even fun to get caught in it if it's not terribly cold.
9. Special~ This is the word I use to describe the people in my life. There are quite a few people I know who fit this description~ a few of them are: my boyfriend Clive who is such a remarkable person that I can't find the right words for him. My mom who makes me crazy but she puts up with me thank goodness. My boss Lucy who is the greatest boss I've ever had and I will sincerely miss her when I leave here. The online friends that keep me company and know I'm crazy but keep talking to me anyway.
10. Swimming~ In the ocean is the very best, but swimming pools will do in a crunch. I'm not a very good swimmer, but I love the water and could live in it. Especially with a snorkel and mask, just watching all the critters and things swimming past me. I do it even in my dreams. One thing I have to do in my life is go deep-sea diving. It's an absolute must, just like hang-gliding. I will refuse to die when my time comes if I haven't done those things.
