Nainggit ako kay Sean and his
25 Best Shots for 2008 album on Multiply. I was never into photography, and all these shots were taken by people other than me. But I've always liked pictures and how they are able to say so much at a glance (as opposed to how I've slaved over thousands of words just to tell all the stories that I've told). So here it is, as opposed to my
all-text New Year blog entry, this one will showcase the previous year in photos.
With Kriska and Ma'am Sherla at the UP Centennial Kick-off Concert. Behind us are the 100 torches held by prestigious alumni.
Drinking wine from plastic cups with Marz, to whom I owe so much for all the times he did my hair and make-up for performances.
With Kriska at UP's Pamantasang Hirang repeat concert. Cel would have been here had she not gone down with Dengue at the time.

2008 was also the year people started calling me "Teacher Cat"
With my students after our Children's Choir recital. Yes, I learned how to conduct, which is really a lot more complicated than it looks. Dati akala ko kakaway-kaway ka lang. But no. Since this experience I've always had the deepest respect for great conductors (and empathized deeply with any conducting major who just couldn't get it right).

With Alfred Vargas, who happens to be Cel's cousin. Back off, Kriska! He's mine!

2008 was also the year I chopped off my long locks in favor of a new hairstyle

At the Belle Kanto Ball 2008 with Kriska. It was the perfect excuse to dress up, step into heels, and throw on some make-up =)

So yes, 2008 was a lovely year, don't you think? At least according to the photos. Buti na lang a lot of my friends are really good at taking them. Why else would I hang out with them so often? Haha! I'm kidding :p
And since this entry was inspired by Sean, I shall end it with one of his photos:
Cheers to 2009! =)
