The day started for me at the butt-crack of dawn (5:45, although my cat decided she wanted me up at 5:20), when I had to get up an make myself all purdy (let it go . . .) for a interview with a big fancy pharmacy guy. It wasn't like a job interview or anything, it was simply to sit and talk pharmacy for an hour. And it was fantastic. I learned so much, and really feel like I've selected the path I'd most enjoy. He was really honest about the upsides and downsides of things, and I think his own attraction to clinical pharmacy was the same as mine is now. So anyway, that was really good. Also, it was nice to be able to discuss my interest in hospice pharmacy with someone who's reaction was not just "Oh, you don't want to that, that'll be depressing." I think I would like it very much. Besides, if all my patients are going to die anyway, I won't have to worry about killing them. I can do no wrong. ;)
So anyway, then on to work, where it was a PINK day. It was VJ's last day at our branch, so in honor of her, we all wore pink. I got to wear my new pink sweater, which I love. And I made a whole bunch of pink cupcakes last night. Pink day was awesome. Except for this one guy who came in to deposit, among other things, a very funny $20 bill. So I was examining it carefully, as that's my job, and he tells me because he is in a hurry, "Oh, you can just look at that later," Oh can I? Thanks! And no.
Incidentally, fat-bottomed girls make the rockin' world go 'round.
