Another place
Last week, John pulled out of the purchase of the maisonette for Dan and I and sent us in search of another! The other turned out to be a way better deal for only £2,000 more on the same street, and a bigger garden too! It is a first floor maisonette and is decorated beautifully. There are hardly any repairs needed on the property, unlike the other, and the neighbour on the ground floor is a lovely elderly lady, unlike the ment neighbours of Sophie and Ranj. A lucky escape, imho.
John is delighted and says we couldn't have found a lovelier place.
The neighbourhood too, is very desirable, and John says house prices are set to rocket so we've got in there at just the right time.
Since the sellers need to find somewhere quickly to accommodate their expanding family (they have 2 children under two) we reckon we won't now be moving until maybe December (had the other purchase gone through it would have been Halloween)but the trade-off is well worth the wait.
