Ultrasound Day... drumroll, please!
Marcin and I went to our 3D ultrasound and I am happy (and relieved) to announce that Leah is INDEED a Leah! This time, I made SURE to look at the money shot and confirmed that, yes, there were indeed girly bits! It was incredibly exciting! The 3D ultrasounds really are an experience that I think every mommy-to-be should have... it's surreal seeing the face of your unborn baby! Speaking of, she's SO CUTE! The tech said she had "Angelina Jolie lips"! Hahaha... Marcin's mom thinks she looks like he did as a newborn, and I can totally see what she means except that her nose... well, she got it from me! (And her lip-shape, too- although her mouth is definitely her dad's!) And the big cheeks? Well, that's a toss-up between Marcin and I since we were both blessed with big cheeks! =)
She was okay at first and then started getting frustrated (she wanted to sleep! I even saw a yawn!) and kept covering her face with her hands. She, again (just like at 23 weeks) chewed on her fingers, we saw her sucking her thumb, practice breathing motions, and even cross her legs! It really is such an amazing experience...
And now, if I manage to do this right- let me introduce you to my daughter, Leah Alexandra:
She is absolutely beautiful and Marcin and I are so much in love already! And isn't she chubby? For 32w4d?! I'm so glad I decided to have this done! =)
